Victorian Aboriginal Honour Roll

Now in its fifth year, the Victorian Aboriginal Honour Roll formally acknowledges and celebrates the wide ranging achievements of Aboriginal Victorians past and present.

The 2015 Aboriginal Honour Roll Launch was held on the 22nd of April at the Wangaratta Library. Pictured left to right: Ms Jaclyn Symes MLC, Chief Administrator Ailsa Fox, inductee Uncle Wally Cooper and High Country Library Corporation CEO Jenny Wyllie.

So far 64 Aboriginal Victorians have been inducted in recognition of their important contributions to the Victorian community in fields such as health, education, sport, the arts, military service and social justice. Their life stories and achievements are recorded in the Honour Roll book which is on permanent display in the Victorian Parliament as a legacy for future generations.
